Medical Myo-Therapy is a manual Trigger point deactivation technique based on the work of Dr. Janet Travell, MD and Dr. David Simons, MD. Their text “Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction” asserts that although up to 85% of all acute and chronic pain is due to the presence of myofascial trigger points, they are most often overlooked in pain management strategies, prolonging pain and debility for months and even years. Medical Myo-Therapy classes teach the therapist to quickly identify and release painful trigger points and to educate their clients on lifestyle changes to reduce or eliminate myofascial pain.
Each class is approved for 6 CE Units
Classes are in 2 day formats, covering pain patterns that every massage therapist sees.
Each class is $250.
